I just returned from a blissful week at Matava, and I must say, it was an incredible getaway for diving enthusiasts like me. The location is simply stunning, surrounded by nature and the turquoise waters of Kadavu Island. The accommodations were charming but basic; it took a bit to adjust to the simplicity. The communal dining fostered a tight-knit atmosphere, and the food was mostly excellent, though I'd love to see a bit more variety. It truly is a paradise for divers, but might not suit those looking for a more luxurious experience.

I had a remarkable experience at this remote lodge, where the diving opportunities are unparalleled, and the location immerses you in nature. The views from my room were stunning, making every moment special. However, if you're not into diving, you might find it a bit isolated with limited activities. The communal dining created a warm atmosphere, though the food could use some variety and improvement in quality.

Staying at Matava Resort was an incredible experience that combined adventure with natural beauty. The lush surroundings and the stunning views from our private bure truly made for a memorable stay. While the dining was excellent and catered to various dietary needs, I would have loved to see even more variety in the meals offered. Overall, this secluded resort feels like a hidden gem where you can really unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.
